Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it is actually alarmed regarding the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often a result of the more info lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue developed for intervention activities a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to empower the servicing of all prospects and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
